Finally Friday.

We, also, caught a black widow in our garden last weekend which is now living in a Tupperware on our table. Each time I look over at it, I get that heebie-jeebie, shivery feeling makes its way up my spine. I wish it would just die already so I wouldn’t have to look at it and continue my mandatory “bang it on the table to see if it moves and is hence still alive” maneuver each morning. People keep telling me to just “kill it”, and to them I say “you want to take the top off the Tupperware? Be. My. Guest.” Maybe I’ll just leave it, in the Tupperware, out in the sun. That’ll cook it, right?

Finally Friday.

I’ll be the first one to admit that I’m not a huge breakfast person — unless breakfast burritos or biscuits and gravy are on the menu. However, I’m married to a pancake/breakfast lover. Usually I can sneak past the whole breakfast thing by offering him a smoothie or distracting him with the to do list for the day, however, these coconut tres leches pancakes (and cake!) look so good, I’d willingly make these. Oh and their gluten and dairy free. Bonus!

Finally Friday.

It’s been quiet around here this week, I’m a bit under the weather. It’s either Allergies, a cold or maybe a combination that’s keeping the pep out of my step and the toad in my throat. I sound like Maude from the Golden Girls and have been guzzling tea and hoarding cough drops to makeContinue reading “Finally Friday.”

Finally Friday.

It’s Friday. This week went by incredibly slow, not that I’m complaining since life has been on overdrive the last few months. Just wish that vacation weeks would go that slow (rather than work, right?). This weekend (and the next several) is packed with all kinds of good stuff. Tonight we’re having dinner with family, tomorrow I’m shopping with my friend Jessica then headed to a schmancy dinner and Nuggets game downtown. Then Sunday, we’re having lunch with my Dad and getting all caught up on the to-do’s around the house!

Finally Friday.

Christian and I stayed up way too late last night just talking. For some reason all of my profound thoughts and questions pop up right as we’re getting into bed (does this happen to anyone else?). Much the dismay of his sleep cycle, each and every time one surfaces we end up huddled under the covers with the puppies debating the intricacies of dating or life or whatever it may be. I do, love those moments.

Finally Friday.

This weekend Christian and I are all over the place once again. Tonight should be pretty low key, but we have no plans for dinner — maybe we’ll go out for a change? Tomorrow I’m meeting my sweet friend Jessica for her first trip to IKEA and lunch – we talk at least once a week, but I haven’t seen her since last summer, crazy! Saturday night C and I are heading to his sisters house for the evening. Then, Sunday, we’re taking my Dad to a movie after church. Phew. Have to squeeze in a little cleaning (our house is a war zone) and a trip to the grocery store.

It’s… it’s… it’s… it’s Friday!

Tonight Christian and I are lying low, planning a veggie-filled dinner and just relaxing. Tomorrow C’s heading snowboarding and I have the lucky privilege of taking the puppies to the vet (oh, I haven’t mentioned the puppies? Stay tuned next week), then maybe see a movie with the mama in the afternoon + some vino? Sunday we’ll head to our marriage class at church then watch the Nuggets pummel the OKC Thunder (hopeful prayers) Sunday night. What are you up to? Can you believe January is almost 2/3’s over?
