We all have those things… those things we like that aren’t exactly propped up high on the to do lists of others. The things that give us those little moments of satisfaction each time. Instead of sweeping these weird nuances under the rug I’m letting me freak, er, odd ball flag fly. For your personal pleasure, I like:
1.) Vacuum Cords. I like wrapping up the cord to the vacuum. Most people leave it loose, but I can’t stand it — plus, I take secret joy in wrapping it up, just the way I like it.
2.) Fast Food. I know it’s not cool to like Fast Food, that it’s trendy to shop at Whole Foods and eat locally and organically and yada yada yada. While I’m all about that too… nothing tastes better than a greasy McDonald’s french fry with a cold coke every now and again.
3.) Grey’s Anatomy and Private Practice. I’ve got a thing for medical dramas, even though I have to close my eyes if they pan to anything involving blood, broken bones, nasty stuff. They’re a little ridiculous and totally convoluted, but I can’t stop watching. And, the best part is that I don’t want to.
4.) Sleeping with a teddy bear. I’m 25, soon to be 26 and there is most definitely a bear in my bed. Christian gets too hot at night and I like to hold onto something with a little more substance than a pillow. I would sleep with Charlie, but since he’s taken up the habit of snoozing on Christian’s face, that plan got nixed. So, teddy bear it is.
5.) The Bernstein Bears. I used to love those books, and every now and again I’ll catch myself wishing I lived in their tree house.
6.) Movie Previews. If I don’t get to see the preview, the movie is barely worth watching. I love the anticipation and excitement about all the new movies I can look forward to. It’s all about something to look forward to… and feeding my movie preview fire.
What about you? What do you secretly (or not so secretly) adore?
